Caber­net is what gives the Artist’s Red Blend its pow­er and rich­ness. Mer­lot adds lush­ness and Mal­bec adds col­or and deep berry fla­vors. Petite Sir­ah, Petit Ver­dot, and Ali­cante add pow­er, dark col­or, and spice.

Personality
The Chardon­nay por­tion of the blend was par­tial­ly aged in oak bar­rels, adding a creamy, spicy note to the wine. Viog­nier, Pinot Gris, Ries­ling, Mosca­to, and Gewürz­tramin­er are all grapes that have flo­ral aro­mas and rich fruity flavors.

Elevating Tradition

For five incredible years, Cooper’s Hawk has been the official wine partner for the Screen Actors Guild Awards®, a star-studded film and television awards ceremony with a 28-year tradition. This year we’re rolling out something special with Wine Club Members in mind. For the 2022 experience, we’re introducing Hollywood’s newest “it couple” with the addition of a white wine to partner with our time-honored red release.

Artist’s Red & White Blends are crafted with West Coast fruit to be luxurious and unique. These are two plush wines complex and memorable enough to share the stage with one of entertainment’s biggest events of the year. Both wines are opulent, rich, and powerful, conveying a sense of significance that mirrors the impact these actors have made on our community.

Dynamic Duo

To round out an evening honoring the diversity of creativity, both wines are food-friendly and versatile. Artist’s Red Blend brings together seven varieties, led by Cabernet Sauvignon from California. It’s perfect for hearty meat dishes and aged cheeses.

Beginner

Appassimento is a dry Italian wine that is loaded with dark, rich flavors. Look for notes of roasted plum, fruit leather, blackberry jam, chocolate, and baking spices. The full body and long, rich finish make this the ideal wine to pair with heartier dishes, like meatballs.

Intermediate

This wine comes from the Italian region of Puglia, also known as the heel of the boot. Puglia is one of the hottest and driest parts of Italy and is known for making robust wines that are full of flavor. The grape used is Primitivo, a long lost cousin of Zinfandel!

Advanced

Appassimento is Italian for “withered,” which refers to the technique used to make the wine. Grapes are laid in shallow racks to semi-dry for one to two months before they’re pressed. This reduces the water content in the grapes and results in a much more powerful and rich wine. This process is uniquely Italian.
